Before Endodontic Treatment
Your endodontic procedure will be performed using local anesthesia. In most cases, there are no restrictions after treatment, and you may return to work or normal activities the same day unless otherwise advised.

Medications
Please continue taking all prescribed medications for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, or other medical conditions, unless your physician has instructed otherwise. If you have any questions about your medications, please contact our office prior to your appointment.

Eating Before Your Visit
We recommend eating a normal meal (breakfast or lunch, as appropriate) before your appointment.

Antibiotic Premedication
If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to take antibiotics before dental treatment due to certain medical conditions (such as heart conditions, joint replacements, or other prosthetic devices), please be sure to take the prescribed antibiotic on the day of your appointment. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please contact our office in advance.

Anti-Inflammatory Medication
If you are able to take ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Aleve), these medications may help reduce inflammation when taken prior to treatment. We typically recommend taking the medication 2–4 hours before your appointment, unless contraindicated for you. Please follow dosage instructions on the label or as directed by your physician.

If you have any questions or concerns before your visit, please do not hesitate to contact our office. We are happy to help ensure you feel prepared and comfortable.

We look forward to caring for you and helping you feel at ease from the moment you arrive.
