Home Care Instruction

You will receive personalized home care instructions following your endodontic treatment. The information below outlines general guidelines to help support a smooth recovery.
It is normal for the treated tooth and surrounding gum tissue to feel mildly tender or sore for several days. This sensitivity is a common response to treatment and to the condition of the tooth prior to therapy and is not cause for concern.

Eating and Chewing
Please avoid chewing on the treated side until your endodontic treatment is complete and the tooth has been permanently restored by your general dentist. This helps protect the tooth from fracture and promotes proper healing.

Oral Hygiene
You may continue your normal oral hygiene routine, including brushing and flossing, unless otherwise directed.

Discomfort Management
Post-treatment discomfort can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen (Advil), acetaminophen (Tylenol), or aspirin, taken as directed. These medications also help reduce inflammation.

Please avoid alcohol while taking any pain medications.
